Horley Under-17s earned a place in the final of the East Surrey Colts League Cup with a comfortable semi-final win over Dorking.
A fine knock of 58 from senior first team regular Ben Remfry provided the backbone of the Horley innings, while under-15s player Christian Kelly made 27, but no one else got out of single figures in the total of 126 from 20 overs. Ed Phillips took three wickets for 23 from three overs and Dale Godfrey got two.
The Dorking reply got off to a sticky start with Remfry running out James Irvine off the first ball. Number three Raich Hudson top-scored for Dorking with 41 before Remfry bowled him. Oliver Sturt dismissed Andrew Pead (17) with a superb reaction catch for a caught and bowled, Kaine Stephens took a catch off Jack Jee’s bowling and Remfry bowled another victim. Dorking ended up well short of the target, finishing their 20 overs on 107 for six.
