Horley Under-15s are heading for the East Surrey Colts League Cup final after a last-over win at Reigate Priory in the semi-final.
Priory elected to bat and Sam Glynne-Jones survived what Horley thought was a clear stumping and went on to make 50 before retiring. He was well supported by Beau Deathridge with 31 and Jason Cole with 22 as Priory made the excellent score of 144 from their 20 overs.
Freddie Holland took two wickets for Horley and Ben Cooper, George Bowers and Aryan Patel one each.
Needing more than seven an over, Horley made a good start with Zack Collins and Christian Kelly putting on 55 for the first wicket before Kelly was out for 29. Collins went on to make 50 and retire, while Patel contributed 23 before he was dismissed by the first of three run-outs as Horley tried to chase down the total.
Udith Molanguri and Harry Grimwood were also run out in calling mix-ups with Cooper and Horley needed eight from the last over when Shae Meacher joined Cooper in the middle. Cooper decided to take the running of quick singles out of the equation, hitting two fours from the first two balls of the over to secure the win for Horley.
