In the cup against Lingfield, Horley very nearly pulled victory from the jaws of defeat when, with the visitors needing just two runs to pass their total of 141, they took two wickets in two balls, only to see Lingfield win the match off the next ball.
Horley’s innings had featured a 34-ball 40 (retired) from Harry Grimwood and a 31-ball 37 from Udith Molanguri. Will Agombar hit 24, Luke Smith scored 16 (three fours), and Alex Field made 12.
