Horley Under-12s beat Merstham by nine runs. Horley set a competitive total of 115 in their 20 overs, with Ali Khan holding their innings together with an excellent 24, Ryan Bunn striking four fours before he was out for 16 and Henry Grimwood hitting some great shots through cover in his 17 not out.
Horley made a good start in the field with a direct-hit run out from Khan. First-change bowlers, Luke Smith and Bailey Warren, both bowled batters with their first balls and Aidan Spalding bowled the number three, but Jacob Law and Charlie Halford-Nicholls both reached the retirement mark of 25 for Merstham.
Joshua Robinson took the fifth wicket and, with Merstham needing ten off the final over, Khan produced a double-wicket maiden to seal the win and the man of the match award.
