Horley Under-11s maintained their winning start to their NEC League season with a convincing victory over Sanderstead.
Batting first, Horley lost a couple of early wickets before Ali Khan and Sonny Perkins steadied the ship. Artie Hoskins, with 10, and Henry Grimwood, with 13, were the only two Horley batters to reach double figures as Horley were bowled out for 74 in 17 overs.
Dan Sired and Khan then produced fast and accurate bowling to go through the Sanderstead top order, with the top four all failing to score. Sired took four of the first five wickets – three clean bowled and one lbw - and Khan picked up the other.
Sanderstead fought back but Ollie Millard joined the attack and took three wickets in one over and the inevitable victory was completed when Sam Terry and Joe Leaver took the last two wickets, to bowl Sanderstead out for 45 inside nine overs.
