Horley Under-11s enjoyed a big ESCL win over Dorking U11s, making it three wins out of three for this team this season.
After losing an early wicket, Horley captain Khyan Patel steadied the ship and the team began to punish the Dorking bowlers with some great batting, most notably Aidan Spalding (15), Mathew Girling (16), Oscar Davies (20) and Ollie Millard (16). Dorking came back and took three more wickets before the end, leaving Horley with a net score of 325 to defend.
The opening bowlers Spalding and Dan Sired, both started with double-wicket maidens. The rest of the Horley team kept the Dorking batsman pinned to their crease with accurate bowling and sharp fielding. Further wickets fell to James Burgoyne (2), Davies (2), Mathew Girling and another two to Spalding and Horley won by 118 runs.
