Horley put Roehampton into bat and dropped some early catches, so the visitors took full advantage reaching 175 for two from their first 35 overs.
From there Horley fought back with a superb long haul bowling performance from Tom Livermore finishing with figures of 19 overs, four maidens, five wickets for 74 runs.
He was amply supported by Rob Rigby who took two wickets to restrict Roehampton to 212 from their 50 overs.
Dave Hyde (33) and Richard Waddington (69) propelled Horley‘s reply to a flying start with 77 runs coming from the first seven overs.
Hyde was dismissed lbw but Horley continued scoring quickly with Andrew Burbidge hitting 14 runs from his first three balls.
Waddington was out just before drinks and more wickets fell just after.
With all results possible in the closing stages, Horley were dismissed five runs short, despite notable contributions from Burbidge (28) and Rigby (23).
