Horley 1st XI Saturday 26th May, Thames Ditton, Surrey County League Division One

Thames Ditton 204 (45 overs) Horley 1st XI 189 all out. Thames Ditton win.

Thames Ditton won the toss and elected to bat and Horley took to the field with only 10 men. Horley started the game the stronger of the two sides , picking up early wickets including the crucial one of the inform Mike Dixon, centurion of the previous week.
An apparent edge behind from a Thames Ditton batsman was taken by keeper Brad Bosman , but was not given out by the oppositions umpire , much to the annoyance of the Horley players.
Despite being a man short for 35 overs Horley saw the innings through, restricting Thames Ditton to 204 off of 45 overs. Sam Remfry,8 overs , 36 runs 2 wickets.
In response , Horley’s openers Danny Razzaq and Brad Bosman put on a opening stand of 60 runs. After the drinks break Bosman was out Leg before and there after Horley lost a quick succession of wickets including those of Danyal (27) and Matt Ware (2).
Notable contributions from Sam Remfry (32), John Barnett and Richard Waddington (16) and a cameo from Matt Gainsford (33*) wasn’t enough as Horley finished their innings on 189, falling 16 short of their target.
