Horley 1st XI’s chances of winning the Surrey County League Division One title ended with a big defeat against top-of-the-table London Gymkhana, but Horley can still secure the second promotion spot if they beat Shepperton on Saturday.
At Gymkhana, the hosts batted first and an early breakthrough from Charlie Robins didn’t stop them from scoring quickly. Trevor Stevens (33-2 from nine overs) and Jordan Robins (27-0 from nine overs) both bowled good spells but Gymkhana made 275 for six from their 45 overs.
